Bruce Crohn

Bruce Crohn has been helping companies develop and maintain comprehensive and competitive benefit programs for 16 years.

Bruce’s experience also includes many years in the payroll and human resources outsourcing business.

Highly respected in the Boston area startup, venture capital and technology communities, Bruce’s client base includes small businesses in a variety of fields, as well as non-profits and mid-sized public companies. While many clients are based in Massachusetts, Bruce also serves as a consultant and broker to companies in New York, California, Florida and other states, where he is a licensed health and life broker.

Bruce serves on the Broker Advisory Council for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

James Santacroce

James Santacroce, a Partner in the firm,  has earned the loyalty of many clients throughout the New England area, due to his excellent work as a consultant and broker. James has experience in virtually all areas of health and welfare plans, including designing, communicating and implementing medical plans, dental plans, vision plans, prescription drug plans, short and long term disability plans, life and AD&D plans, Flexible Spending Accounts (section 125), Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), Business Travel Accident plans, Stop Loss, enrollment services and voluntary worksite benefit plans.

Prior to joining the firm, James was a Vice President at William Gallagher Associates. He also worked as a Senior Account Manager at Paradigm Associates. He began his insurance career at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, where he spent 8 years as an Account Executive and Trainer. James is a licensed broker.

Heather Crowley

Heather Crowley, a Partner in the firm,  is our Senior Vice President, responsible for all operations of the firm and the delivery of excellent service to all our clients. Her role also includes the direct account management role for a select group of clients.

With over seventeen years of experience in employee benefits and human resources, Heather’s talents provide our clients with a unique perspective on their benefit plans. Heather possesses a solid knowledge of products, industry trends and legislative issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Heather was a Vice President at William Gallagher Associates. She also worked as Director of Client Service at Paradigm Associates and as a Regional Human Resources Manager at HR Logic.

Heather has Bachelor of Science degree from Springfield College and is a licensed insurance broker in Massachusetts

Liz Haigh

Liz Haigh, GBA, Employee Benefit Consultant, manages a select group of small to mid-sized clients for the firm. Liz provides insightful and practical advice regarding all aspects of health and welfare plans, and develops creative solutions to help clients attract and retain the best employees.

Her extensive experience includes heading the small group division of Longfellow Benefits for over 13 years. Elizabeth also spent several years as a Human Resources Associate and Generalist. Liz has her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans/Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a Certificate, Human Resources Management from Northeastern University and an A.S. from Middlesex Community College.

Liz is a licensed broker in Massachusetts.

 

Lauren Bishop

As an Account Manager, Lauren assists clients in their day to day needs relating to their employee benefit plans. Lauren is also instrumental in the preparation of renewal reports, analysis of competitive marketing results for client health and welfare plans and participation in client strategy, renewal and open enrollment meetings.

Our resident expert in group life and disability plans, Lauren is able to use her skills learned from several years with Symetra, a diversified financial services company. In addition to group benefit plans, Lauren has extensive experience in the stop loss and reinsurance markets. She also has several years of insurance brokerage experience, as a Consultant and Account Manager with Thorbahn and EBS Capstone.

Lauren is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is a licensed insurance broker in Massachusetts.

Karen Bostock

Karen Bostock, Account Manager, helps our clients with multiple functions, including renewals, open enrollment meetings, employee and client advocacy services, Human Resource Management Systems implementation, compliance, strategic planning, cost control, and other critical benefit functions.

With over 13 years of experience in Human Resources and benefits, Karen has honed her skills from her time at a variety of key positions. She brings a unique perspective to the firm, having spent time at both insurance carriers and commercial employers.

Karen’s prior employment and consulting include, Northwestern Mutual, The Hanover Insurance Group, Fallon Community Health Plan, Genzyme and Candela Laser.

Karen also plays a role in business development for the firm and holds insurance licenses in health, life and accident.

 

Eric Thornberg

Eric Thornberg, Account Manager at the firm, services clients with their employee benefit needs. Eric’s particular focus is on health insurance plans, as well as life, disability, dental and other health and welfare programs.

Eric’s experience encompasses several years as Accounts Manager and Outreach Coordinator for Minuteman Health, a startup health plan in Massachusetts. This unique experience taught Eric valuable lessons in the creation of these positions at Minuteman, where he spearheaded servicing platforms for a growing list of commercial accounts. During his tenure at Minuteman, Eric provided consulting for companies of various sizes, with a particular focus on those with more than 100 employees.

Eric has a B.A from the University of Connecticut and holds certifications from the National Association of Health Underwriters. Eric is a licensed broker in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Ryan Merle

Ryan Merle, Account Manager, is responsible for the servicing of a group of clients ranging in employee count size, with a particular focus on the small to mid-size client market. Ryan’s clients depend on her for day to day servicing needs, including enrollments, renewals, employee communication, compliance and advice on a variety of topics related to employee benefit plans.

Ryan’s experience includes several years as a Human Resources and Employee Benefits representative in the insurance brokerage area. She has extensive experience in COBRA, disability policies, general health and welfare plans and client service and problem solving for a variety of businesses. Her past experience also includes contract compliance in the real estate investment and development field.

Ryan has a B.A from Assumption College. She is a licensed life, accident and health broker.
